What the club says: Dinnaton GC is set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and offers fabulous views across the beautiful South Hams countryside. Taking up fifty acres of the surrouding area, Dinnaton GC is a challenging par 31 nine hole course that includes four highly demanding par 4's and five picturess par 3's. The combination of narrow fairways and small greens makes the course extremely challenging for golfers of all abilities.

Nice Course

It's a short course with 5 par 3's & 4 par 4's. There are some tricky holes to play, some water to navigate and a few difficult bunkers. When we played it was in a good condition, not too busy and cheap to play 18 holes. It's nice to be able to turn up and just play, with a friendly greeting at reception.

Made the best of a small site

Tight parkland course with some water. A LOT of par threes and a very short course you can play nine holes in little over an hour. Not much variety but the greens are ok and they have made the most out of a small space.

Tight 9 hole course

A bit rough and ready but relatively cheap. Very narrow fairways and ditches at driving length make it a challenging course.

Great Little Course

This course is made up of par 3s and 4s. Some challenging holes but very good course for a beginner at the same time. For the price the fact you can go around the 9 holes as many times as you want is great. Definitely be using this to help my shorter game and to help my 14yr old progress.

Dinnaton is a course that is short and tight. It has two par 4's on the lower part of the course and five par 3's on the upper portion. Two of the par 3's are long holes and fairly demanding.
the course is usually fairly empty during the week. I haven't yet had to wait to tee off playing midweek despite the fact that playing 18 holes means you play the round twice.
The course is picturesque and offers the best value for money in the area by far. This month, each round will be costing me less than a £1.
I would understand if the course was not attractive to everyone. I am so pleased that I recently joined, because I can play without booking and not worry about spending too much money on my favourite pastime at present. Mind the cost of replacement golf balls might be a cost that has to be factored into the budget !

Played March 2015 and course in wet condition with gairways gobbling up plugged balls, greens good though. Four par 4's and Five Par 3's, and none all that easy. The Course climbs steadily up to the 7th tee with the par 4's being 1,2,8,9 with all the par 3's in between. The toughest really is the 190 yard 7th, downhill to an elusive target. Eight needs accuracy with left edge out of bounds (I did!) and a long walk (unsigned) to the 9th tee, where at the moment you are faced with an impossible tight area to try and hit with some sort of work going on the left which is all OOB. If this fairway stays the same width long term, it will detract a lot from the course. Course very much part of the fitness centre and you get the feeling that this is more important than the golf where in truth investment is needed, as much of it is tired

A tidy well kept course a couple of awkward placed trees to navigate around in particular the one right in the middle of the 4th and fairly tight in places a reasonable test of my ability but maybe a bit easy for a low handicap player or a big hitter, could of left the driver at home and played the 3 wood with out to many problems, all in all very well priced and a very pleasant few hours will be back soon

This a very tight 9 hole course. They always say if you can play well here you can play anywhere. some water to contend with and some of the greens are a bit daunting. The course is on the side of a hill an putting can be bit frustrating. Always enjoy a round here its a good leveler.
