Cluny Golf Course

This course has improved so much the past few years , ever since they employed dedicated greenkeepers the whole course has improved 10 fold, this course has the potential to be one of the best 9 hole courses around , and it is a challenge for any handicap.

This could be a very good course if the owners could be bothered to keep it in good condition but, alas, they don't. There are no proper green keepers & the course is maintained by grounds men who do the best they can with what they are allowed. In summer the grass cuttings lie where they fall both on the fairway and the rough. The rough is virtually impossible to play out of even if you are lucky enough to find your ball. Given that the average handicapp at the club is probably 22ish, the fairways are very tight, so be prepared to lose some balls - on the plus side you'll find plenty of other people's. Not Pro V1 territory. Good clubhouse & pro shop though. The clue regarding priorities is in the name - 'Cluny CLAYS'. Shooting comes 1st, kids payground 2nd, archery 3rd & golf 4th - or that's how it feels. It's only saving grace is the friendliness of the members & it's 5 minutes from the door.

Good value course for a high handicapper but keep out of the rough, very difficult to find the ball again.

This is a nice course, looks in good condition, i would think it would be easy for a low handicapper.

It's a decent enough sized 9 hole course but let down by the quality of the greens and fairways which are poor when in comparison to the other privately owned Fife courses. Great clubhouse and very good driving range.
