What the club says: Whalley Golf Club can claim to be one of the finest nine hole courses in the country. It is a parkland course with beautifully matured trees, challenging holes and wonderful views of the Ribble Valley.

Alterations have been made over many years adding to the interest and difficulties for today's golfer, including water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and tree-lined fairways.

Fantastic Course

Very challenging and undulating but a lot of fun to play with a spectacular back drop. Friendly to beginners.

We played Whalley in a charity event in early September. The course was in great conditions and the greens were fast but true. The hospitality and food/drink was excellent! Thank you to the whole team! Looking forward to playing there again soon.

Really good 9 holer, the course was in really good condition!

Unfortunately the bar was closed for refurbishment but we were aware of this before we played.

Greens were in really condition after some recent heavy rain.

All about the tee shot!

Some really tricky tee shots but a lovely test of golf. Fairways were lush and greens rolled true.

Don't like 9 holers - think again

If you don't like 9 hole layouts, try Whalley and think again. Its a great course with very different tee options for your 2nd round. Well worth a go.

Quite a stiff walk but well worth playing as the course is well maintained and a good test for all standards. There's plenty of variety in the layout with a nice mix of short, tight par 4's and a couple of tough long holes. The green side bunkering is often big, bold and visually impressive. The finishing hole is a lovely long par-3 over water.

Played in recent open competition, good value. Greens had been recently worked on, tined and top dressed so not the easiest to put on. Fairly hard course to score on from white tees, need to be long and straight, many holes tree lined. Course in generally good condition. Friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse.

Very Good quality 9 hole track. Food a treat, welcome warm, fun test. Keep it out of the water on the 9th. I'll be back in summer.

I've played this course a few times now and always found it an enjoyable challenge, great value, and a warm welcome. The 400+yd 10th is a monster. The food and views are exceptional though - well worth a visit.

Not played this course since I was a junior member some 35 years ago. Friendly welcome by all, good breakfast. Course in reasonable condition. Fairways with lots of grass on them, greens a little inconsistant but generally good. Quite a tight 9 hole layout, nice finishing three holes with a tough par 3 9th/18th over water. Glad I returned after all these years.
