What The Club Says
Stonyhurst Park Golf Club was formed in 1979, but the history of the golf course and its strong affiliation to Stonyhurst College date back to the 19th Century when Walker Cup founder George Walker was a Philosophy student at the College. The course is a 9 hole gem, glistening in the heart of the Ribble Valley and Bowland Forest.
Picturesque views and tranquil surroundings make this a perfect setting for a golf course. Well-tended fairways and greens combine with testing approach shots and natural hazards to make it a challenging test of golf for members and visitors alike.

Don't recommend
Greens in terrible condition (mix of burnt out and overgrown). Tee boxes very uneven. Luckily I had time to do 18 holes, would have been even more disappointed if I'd paid £20 for 9 holes.Reviewer Rating

Avoid
There’s so much potential for a decent course on the grounds but my god it’s in a state. Greens scorched in places overgrown in others and that was every hole not just a few.No cups or bins for T’s mean they are absolutely everywhere. Tee boxes are terrible. Some don’t even have grass on them and the ones that do are terribly uneven. This has to be the worse course I’ve ever played in Lancashire.

Local good course

Some greens were scorched and had scarifying marks and fairways were very hard (one of the players described it as playing on tarmac.
would play again in different circumatsnces.
