What the club says: Founded in 1975 the Club is renowned for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
set on the Berkshire Downs, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the location offers the players a peaceful round of golf amongst tree-lined fairways and many areas of the course provide stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The course provides a good challenge for all standards of player thanks to a choice of tee positions, ranging from 5,450 yds to a championship length of over 7,000 yds. It was originally designed by Robin Stagg and has been systematically improved throughout this period.
The modern construction techniques used on greens and tees ensure that the golf course is always presented in good condition and playable at all times of the year.

Long, flat woodland course
The course is a pleasant , flat course. Lots of trees lining the fairways, good greens . Bunkers at times were tough as not much sand . A good challenge for golfers of all levels .Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, not overly long from the Yellow Tees, but with narrow fairways in part and slick greens this truned out to be an excellent test. Nice people and great food... highly recommend!!Reviewer Rating

Nice course, wet conditions!
Played this course end Oct 2023. Had suffered from a lot of heavy rain before our arrival, some fairways very soft with standing water in a few places, but all greens playable.Good layout of holes, and on the whole an enjoyable experience.
Will return to enjoy more when it’s drier!

Very little good quality sand in the bunkers making bunker play very difficult to control.
Ground staff seemed oblivious to the fact golfers were on the fairway and carried on cutting near you when about to play a shot or putt on the greens.
