What the club says: The superb 18 hole parkland golf course extends over 145 acres and offers one of the best 15 bay floodlit driving ranges, offering distance markers, raised target greens and chipping nets. Stressholme also boasts a superb practice green, a professional shop and excellent catering facilities in the clubhouse.

Reviewed May 8 2016 by Mark A - rated 2 out of 5 Used to be a municipal course but is now in private hands and is taking a while to get over the hacking and hammering it's had in the past, it's ok, not great, a couple of nice holes but generally the greens aren't great and the fairways are scabby in places, inconsistencies in the bunkers too. The clubhouse is now really nice and great value. Don't leave your clubs out as there are definite security issues.

The facillities and staff are a credit to Darlington council who own the set up.
