What the club says: Founded in 1894, Stratford on Avon golf club is a prestigious venue that welcomes visitors to its historic course. Vice President Samuel Ryder (of Ryder Cup fame) opened the J H Taylor and Hawtree challenging new layout in 1928.
A deep underbed of gravel and sand provides fine fairways and fast greens virtually all year round. The warm and friendly Clubhouse; excellent catering and well equipped Professional shop are there to make your day complete.

One of the best parkland courses I've played. Excellent fairways, challenging approaches with demanding greens. Add to that, their friendly staff and excellent food, you have the complete package. Not cheap but, nevertheless, good valve overall. To be recommended.

Fantastic conditions and slick greens
Much welcome visit with Copsewood first team match, course was immaculate and first time visit you can see why people rave about it. small practice area between 17th and 9th fairways. The greens were blemish free and very slick a credit to the green staff, layout was also fantastic and fair all round. shame I lost 2&1 happy tho had 2 two's :-)Be straight with the driver or your chipping out, quality tree lined course, hopefully back very soon for another go.
77 with two doubles first time out, only took driver out on 17/18 just shows plays to play the percentages over smashing it.

Food society course
Played a mixed friendly game . Green maintenance was earlier in week but green rolled very well , fairways and rough was well manicured.will play again hopefully better(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 84 Handicap: 10.1)

This is a deceptively challenging course. Although most fareways are wide and the course is not long, a plethora of bunkers, wiry rough, and some difficult approach shots make it a good test of skills and call for good course management. The course is in excellent condition with true greens and well maintained fareways. There are not a lot of memorable holes but I would mention the par threes and the par 5 seventh.

High quality golf course, played in June 09 and the course was immaculate with large quick greens. You will love this course if you like flat easy walking courses. Not difficult, 6 of group of 8 played several shots better than handicap, and the other two just 1 or 2 shots over. There are no particularly memorable holes, as its short on visual impact, but its a very enjoyable round, if like me you like quality at a not unreasonable price.
