What The Club Says

South Herefordshire Golf course has superior views over the three counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and in the far distance the black mountains of Wales. The area is renowned for the beauty of its gentle rolling hills and picturesque valleys. The club has the 6800 yard Twin Lakes course, a 12 bay floodlit driving range and a 9 hole par 3 academy course.

back after 4 years

We returned to this course after an absence of 4 years to find a perfect set of greens and fairways.As before, we encountered friendly staff in both the cafe and the pro shop. It's a long course, with beautiful views and challenging holes with plenty of sand!

Great landscaped course

Enjoyable course for a mid to high handicapper. Nice long wide fairways. Lots of well positioned bunkers to challenge.

Course is long very challenging even more if you play when raining. Played it a year ago and really enjoyed it

Unexpected!

Booked to play here with society last minute after course we were supposed to play closed because of bad weather..
Club were extremely welcoming on arrival.
Wasn't expecting much when I teed off but after the steep 1st hole "wow! What a course ! Loved every hole here. Totally unexpected! The rest of our travelling party ,handicaps ranging from 8 - 38 loved it . Good mix of holes . Lovely 19th hole, friendly staff , cold beer! What else is better!! 10/10

Great course with amazing views

Played here on Sunday morning. Tricky but fair course, with amazing views all round. it was in excellent condition from tee to green. Would suit bigger hitters than me. Very good value for money.

Excellent course. We haven't played much golf this year because of the weather so we were pleasantly surprised with the state of the course - fantastic condition and a thank you to the green keepers. Price very sensible, not overpriced as a lot of courses are these days. Greens immaculate. Views good from all areas of the course. Clubhouse was warm and friendly with good options, even gluten free and not overpriced. Will always play here.

Course was closed during the previous week when we were due to play because of rain but today it was in fantastic condition. Greens immaculate and very difficult to read. New rakes in the bunkers which are designed not to lie on the floor and get dirty, really good. Views are fantastic especially today when the weather was really sunny. Feels quite long in places and can be tricky. We had a club match in front of us, so pace of play wasn't the best but usually it is fine. Did not use the clubhouse due to the club match dining. Will play again anytime.

Course in excellent condition. fairways fast, greens immaculate and well watered, need to pay attention to the slopes. Bunkers have plenty of sand. Followed the ladies round and pace of play was very good. Views all round from most of the course. Fairways are wide enough to be kind to a wayward shot but pay attention to slopes and where the bunkers are placed. Clubhouse staff very friendly and an excellent breakfast was provided. Real value for money, especially with many courses inflating their prices.

Fast-running fairways, with a wide first-cut of rough cut to a length which allows you to find your ball. Penal rough if you're wide enough. Very well-maintained greens properly-watered. A good variety of holes. Always a nice welcome in both pro-shop and bar.
