What the club says: Looking across the course towards Black Combe, Silecroft is a nine hole/eighteen tee links Golf Course set on the West Coast of Cumbria. Stand on the first tee and look across the Irish Sea, just a quick slice away, to the Isle of Man shimmering in the distance. As you progress around the course you will see Barrow–in–Furness and Walney Island to the South, whilst to the North is the imposing Black Combe at the foot of which Silecroft Village is located. On a clear, sunny and still day the course has enough challenges for all handicaps, but when the wind blows…

Very scenic however the fairways are not great undulating and sometimes difficult to determine fairways from light rough the course is nine holes played twice . But overall it's cheap at ?20 a round
