What the club says: Overlooking the Regency town of Sidmouth, the fine clubhouse provides a panoramic view of the Devon and Dorset coastline of Lyme Bay and beyond, designated as the country's first natural World Heritage Site. The J H Taylor designed course also enjoys wonderful sea views from its undulating fairways, and there are beautiful scenes to be savoured throughout the 18 holes. Almost uniquely amongst courses on this stretch of coast, they are enjoyed from a position usually sheltered from strong winds, and offer the perfect challenge for the golfing novice as well as the more accomplished golfer.

Great course

Quite hilly and all sloping fairways

hilly
shortish course but made difficult and challenging by lots of slopes and blind holes. need a couple of games to get used to course and then find score improving.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 91 Handicap: 21.4)

CRACKING

We hit a good day for the weather, first time at this course, a bit too many sloping fairways, but an enjoyable course, greens were fast but well maintained. Didn't appear to have a pro shop!

Hilly course which helped after a lot of rain, so course was in a good condition overall. Challenging hills and greens to deal with, but that's the fun.
Played in summer also when its at its best and the views are excellent.

Excellent course, wonderful views, some challenging par 3 holes, the course uses the natural contours and undulations to create a good test of golf. Clubhouse was good, food of a high quality, would certainly recommend playing here,

Great value for money, a short but tricky course, it plays longer than the numbers suggest due to the elevated greens and the use of the terrain. You need to bring a variety of shots with you as one hole will slope left to right meaning playing the ball well below your feet then on the next hole it'll always be above your feet.
Played in late August and the ground was heavy underfoot due to a spell of bad weather,I'd also consider a buggy if the weather allows as even though I'm a reasonably fit 34year old I was out to puff after walking up the hills on the longer holes.
Didn't have a chance to stop in the club house so can't really comment on that.
I would definitely play here again well worth the £16 green fee, played worse that cost double.

Lovely course, in great condition and offers a variety of challenges, They now have a great fully stocked golf shop with all the latest products. The shop is a main stockist for Puma clothing which is awesome. They now also have 4 buggies to hire which are reasonably priced.
