What the club says: Honiton Golf Club is a lovely course set high in the hills to the east of Honiton town with splendid views across to the Blackdowns. Established in 1896 the greens are maintained in excellent condition as are the fairways. The fourth tee is the first technical challenge with a number of others starting out tight. Although in the hills the course itself is relatively flat to play, but it does boast beautiful views in all directions, and benefits include smart clubhouse facilities with a friendly atmosphere.

Played on 21 March 2024. Course was fairly dry considering the amount of rain over the past 2 months. Greens were not easy as not cut tight enough but fairways and tees were quite good.

fantastic course, worth visiting
greens and fairways were in good condition. well presented, needs more signage to make it clear where the next hole is or teeing ground. Practice ground is not available to hit balls as it's 3 fairwasy over.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 72 Handicap: 3.9)

Nice course
On driving to the course I expected a fairly hilly challenge as the road was up a hill, thankfully it wasn't! Nicely laid out course with good signage, course and greens in good nick. Friendly locals allowed us to join them as we were playing as a 2 ball and we kept catching them up (also 2 ball) but had 4 ball in front. Good clubhouse, go with a member though, half price as a guest!!Reviewer Rating

Wonderful Scenery

Played this course on the way home from a 4 day golf break. It was a perfect end to the 'tour'. A relatively short course with pretty wide fairways (generally) made it a nice, gentle end that enabled us to score well. Much better course than I was expecting and the service in the pro shop was superb! Very glad we went there.

A jones
A lovely course with excellent views. Some great holes particuarly some long challenging par 3 holes. The fairways were excellent with decent greens. All the staff in the club were friendly and we stayed for drinks and food which was reasonably priced. The clubhouse was relaxed and had a friendly atmosphere. We would recommend a round here and we look forward to returning in the future.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.6)

Lovely parkland course with some stunning views and scenery, especially the view from the 9th green! Plenty of ball cleaners and the tee boxes and fairways were maintained nicely. Only negative was the greens as they were a little bit too long and although great for the approach shots (one of which I holed from 50yds) they were a little 'snaggy' when putting, however very nice course overall!

A beautiful course, easy enough for a novice but would also provide an excellent challenge for the lower handicappers too. Stunning views. The members we talked to in the carpark were really friendly and welcoming and the pro shop was really helpful as well. Locker rooms looked like they had been recently renewed, smart. Would go there again, maybe taking the caravan, good deals.

The course sits quite high up, so I imagine (although I haven't experienced it myself) that on a windy day, it would be quite exposed. It's quite a straight course and not too tight either.
