What The Club Says
Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Club opened in 1996 and its Prince Bishops' Course is now established as one of the best golf courses in North East England.
The par 72 course measures 6,851 yards from its championship tees and has views of world famous Durham Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the inspiration for Ramside’s second course – The Cathedral Course opened in September 2014. The Prince Bishops course is named after the warrior clergymen who ruled over the lawless North from Durham Castle after the Norman Conquest in the 11th Century.

Excellent day
Played Ramside Hall Bishops course. Read all kinds of poor reviews and have to say I found it to be in great condition and the greens were excellent.Will certainly plat there again.

Golfing holiday
This is the second time I've stayed here, the service, warm welcome and the hotel is really very good; we did have a few issues with the breakfasts this time as the food was sometimes almost cold; the evening restaurants we dined in were very good although for me one meal the chicken was a little tough; service was excellentReviewer Rating

Winter golf
2 or 3 maximum normal greens in play, and the winter ones were poor. They should let players know how many winter greens are actually in use before book and play. Wouldn't of booked had it been known how many winter greens were in use. Usually worth playing but not with this many winter greens. What is wrong with other course? In good nick but not terribly enjoyable
there's a few nice holes on this course and they've done the best they can with the land available I guess. I haven't played the other course but I've heard good things about it. Will hope to play that shortly.Reviewer Rating
