What the club says: Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Club opened in 1996 and its Prince Bishops' Course is now established as one of the best golf courses in North East England.
The par 72 course measures 6,851 yards from its championship tees and has views of world famous Durham Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the inspiration for Ramside’s second course – The Cathedral Course opened in September 2014. The Prince Bishops course is named after the warrior clergymen who ruled over the lawless North from Durham Castle after the Norman Conquest in the 11th Century.

Poor, cathedral courseDon't both, poor nick, greens hard to read, slow fast turn or not.
Get a sherpa or a buggy, you'll be mountain climbing.
Some hols are in different post codes to the other so Sat nav recommended.
We thought it was odd that the course was empty, until we'd played about half the course. play the other course prince bishop, thats much better
Amazing courseFirst time here and can’t wait to come back. Course is well kept, greens are great and the staff are very friendly. First impressions really count and they did well.

Fantastic Course In County DurhamThis was first visit to Ramside Hall but i will definitely be back. The course was very tough due to the conditions but still in great condition especially the greens. The facilities are also top class. Enjoyed it so much i am considering taking up membership here.

Long, challenging championship courseLovely long new championship golf course, which is challenging, yet rewarding for good shots.

Challenging & Interesting CourseIn my opinion the better of the 2 courses at Ramside Hall. Very open to the elements in places due to being fairly new design, but with a good mixture of parkland & moorland holes & numerous water hazards. Course in good condition & greens very good - large & receptive with lots of subtle borrows. Long course off the whites. Hotel & Clubhouse excellent standard with lots of facilities. Makes a great overnight golf venue.

Facilities top class
A gorgeous course, Army Golf Association North East (AGA NE) organised competition. What a great course, I will definitely return.
