great course
well kept challenging course with excellent greens. Well worth a visit

Quality course
Great condition following all the rain. Great course and some real challenges.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: )

Average course
Played numerous courses in Co Durham, this is just another average course it’s no better than a pay and play municipal to be as honest. there isn’t anything about the course that would warrant another game there.Considering the best course in the northeast is only 2 minutes away at Brancepeth castle.also found it was to busy and overplayed.

Definitely worth a visit
The staff were very helpful, excellent facilities, the course was in very good condition, and a very enjoyable experience.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23)

Great course
First class course, very good service and all members very friendly and helpful good course would recommend(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 21.9)

A very good course but slightly pricey compared to a number of clubs of a similar standard.
(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: )

(Round played: Oct 2016 - Score: 111 Handicap: )

The club house staff were also very pleasent and helpful
(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 105 Handicap: 25)

(Round played: Aug 2014 - Score: 100 Handicap: 27.7)

(Round played: Sep 2014 - Score: 95 Handicap: 17.2)

(Round played: May 2013 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.8)

The course set up is really great. The natural lie of the land and very mature tree lined holes make for a great experience & a bit of a test to say the least.
The biggest part of "the test" undoubtedly comes from the greens - which depsite being generous in size - must be some of the hardest to read in the North East!
This coupled with a greenkeeper with a savage sense of humour as far as pin plaements are concerned made for some entertainment! (The par 3 second was an obvious example)
About the only thing the place can be faulted for is the lack of a course guide / strokesaver, as for the first timer, a lot of the tees play blind.
With green fee's of only £12 yesterday with the use of a 2-Fore!-1 voucher makes this extremely good value for money.
Well worth the visit.
I'll definately be arranging a return trip.
