What the club says: Brancepeth Castle Golf Club was designed by the world famous architect Harry Colt in 1924 and laid out on what was Brancepeth Castle Deer Park, the stables and coach house being converted into the clubhouse. Brancepeth is a beautiful parkland course of 6400 yards SSS 70 offering a great variation of holes. The deep ravine cutting through the course, provides some challenging tee shots.

Challenging

We arrived on an extremely wet day and the staff were excellent, accommodating us and allowing us to play on the course when they could have remained closed. Excellent customer service throughout. Lovely course, beautiful scenery.

Tough

I'm quite a fit 72 year old but some of the climbing on this course very tough also paths going down hill once your trolly gets going very dangerous, the course apart from the walking very good condition and pleasing to the eye ,one downer could not get a sandwich until after 10am ,would not rush back ,nicer courses and more pleasant walking near by .

Best course in the north of England

I come back to play this fantastic course every year. The layout is excellent with 8 ravines to drive over. The short par four 14th is s great risk reward hole. Greens are pure.

Beautiful

A very nice course which requires accuracy and on some hole requires a long carry which can be a challenge for some of us!
