What the club says: Designed by renowned golf course architect Donald Steel, the magnificent 18 hole course at Overstone Park is proud to boast they are one of the finest and most popular courses for playing golf, taking lessons or hosting golf days in Northampton.
The course offers a \"fair but challenging\" game to the novice or experienced golfer, with a number of attractive feature holes. During 2007 we were delighted with the number of compliments the course received from members and visitors alike with many suggesting \'the greens were the best in the County\'.

Quite a nice looking course? Even if we only got to see half of it. Had to play the back nine twice. Booked on-line. No phone call or comunication to say the front nine had been closed due to the weather. At £25 each, with no discount offered. Very over priced!
The course was in reasonable condition. Again for the price though would of expect much better. Good tees, with no temps. The greens were very good. Considering the weather previously and on the day, played very well, true and quite fast.
Won't be in a hurry to go back, even if it is the closest course too me. But would recommend and will try it again as it is varied with some good holes. - Jan 16 2016
Golfshake Team Review
Really nicely kept course. ......a joy to play. Played on a Friday afternoon so nice and relaxed/good pace of play with no pressure. (though I played with a member who said he won't rejoin this year as he cannot get on at a weekend when he choses / and it does a lot of corporate type days.....so you may be disppointed trying to book at times). That said I have played twice and scored well both times without actually playing that well myself . It is quite an easy course in my opinion....only 3 holes feature water, and the trees are no real hazard compared to some courses. But like i have said on a previous review some of the holes look magnificent, and are a joy to play. Interestingly for me - not a long hitter - I reached 3 of the 4 par 5's in regulation......as 3 of them were massively down hill!.......and 1 of them should be considered par 4 on other more challenging courses (9th). But overall a very very nice round of golf! and yes of course i would play again.

Golf Course Reviews for Overstone Park Golf Club
this was the day after the heavens had opened and the bunkers were lakes, but the rest of the course was fantastic, fairways ran long and the greens were good

Course in really good condition. Greens run well - pretty quick at times really good challenge

A pretty open course but a few tight holes, I like the short 128 yard par 3 4th over water it's pretty tricky , the green slopes towards the water so too much back spin and your balls wet ,over hit it and your OB par here is a good score.and the short 268yrd par 4 5th is reachable with a fairway wood or 3 iron but you have to be straight as a left shot is wet and right will be either OB or leave you with a horrible 2nd shot..always a decent amount of sand in bunkers too..

I stay & play here regularly. The hotel rooms are a bit basic, but the rest of the resort is excellent.
The course is always in great condition, you don't get penalised unless you really deserve it, the greens are always good, just the bunkers are letting it down a bit this year.
It nearly always get's in Today's Golfer's top 10 courses in Northamptonshire & I can understand why.

With all the rain that we have had over the last few weeks, it was lovely to get out and not get mud all over my trousers, coures played well

Course played well today, greens were good, bunkers still need a bit of work but at least most of the water had gone, just a bit crusty

Very well kept course, prices are fair. It does get very busy though. Unfortunately there are many "Scratch" golfers who do not seem to appreciate that not everyone is either as good, or as quick.

Quit after 9.
Apart from the pace of play, there is a general lack of signage, everywhere. There are no signs to the pro-shop/showers/range/anything.
The course is badly laid out, and u are in danger of being hit, from other tee-boxes.
Its a fairly short course, with good greeens .. but
I wont be coming back ..
