What the club says: The Arden course is one of the country's most spectacular challenges and host to a succession of international tournaments, including the 1997-1999 One-2-One British Masters, 2000-2002 English Open and the 2003 British Masters. It also has one of the European Tour's most distinct signature holes in its 18th; a Par 3, 202-yard hole overlooking the fishing lakes and resort.
The Aylesford Course; Golfers of all abilities will find the shorter Aylesford course a varied and enjoyable challenge. Kept to the same high standard as its celebrity sister, both courses offer a good chance that the friendly local deer will wander on to the course in this majestic countryside setting.

Aylesford frost
Having not played forest of arden for over a year I was pretty exited about my return. It was a midday tee and still cold
I think the condition of the course is still very good having had 2 weeks of below freezing temperatures
The greens were still frozen so game plan was to lie up short and bounce on the green
With the greens being frozen it was very hard and fast
Golf shop is well stocked up and clubhouse was reasonably priced

Great course but slow pace of play
Really enjoyed the Ardon course but was disappointed that we only managed to complete 15 holes due to the really slow pace of play and failing light (#1-13 & 17-18). The 4 ball in front of me and my playing partner just didn't offer to allow us to play through and we got the impression that this is the clubs policy as the starter stated that it would be a 4 ball pace of play due to what was ahead of us. The problem with the 4 ball directly in front is that they had players who couldn't play golf, I.e 50 yds off the most tees! Not taking anything away from the course though which was very impressive and I look forward to doing the full 18 in future.

Golf and food great
Really enjoyed the experience this weekend. Both courses were great. Had to think your way round both of them- Arden was harder but both very well designed. Greens on Aylesford had patches on - not sure if it was an infection but didn't ruin experience. Food for dinner and breakfast was superb and fantastic variety. Can't wait to go back.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Played the Arden course and have to say its a great golf course but very tough. I'm an 18 handicapper and had a nightmare of a round with 106 but at the same time really enjoyed it. The greens are lightning fast and I struggled with them to be honest also the fact I was all over the place with my directional play didn't help. The bar and clubhouse are excellent with great facilities on site and I would highly recommend anyone to play it.Reviewer Rating

Great Course but......
The Arden and Aylesford are lovely course. The arden especially is in great condition especially the back 9 deer park. The only negative I have and it's a big one! We got in on a lovely summer afternoon at 6pm only to find that they had closed the golfers bar so we had to walk through to the hotel to get a drink. Absolutely ridiculous, if they want to appeal to corporate users then cater for them!!!Reviewer Rating

We played Arden twice, great course ... Range needs to be better !
We have played at Forest of Arden before so this time we chose to play the Arden twice rather an round on each course. We were probably a tad early in the season as the 8th hole over the lake was shortened while they let the main tee box repair itself. The rest of the course was mint, greens fantastic and bunkers lovely, cannot fault it and this is a proper course. The putting green, pro shop and halfway house also absolutely top notch ... however the range is absolutely pants and way too expensive for the quality of the balls etc. That needs some TLC. As usual we found the hotel hit and miss, food was great but waiting almost 90 mins for starters to arrive when we have pre-ordered 6 hours before is not acceptable. We will come back for the golf, but maybe not stay next time. Tip: play Nailcote Hall 9 holer down the road beforehand, what a course and ridiculously cheap.Reviewer Rating
