What The Club Says
The Arden course is one of the country's most spectacular challenges and host to a succession of international tournaments, including the 1997-1999 One-2-One British Masters, 2000-2002 English Open and the 2003 British Masters. It also has one of the European Tour's most distinct signature holes in its 18th; a Par 3, 202-yard hole overlooking the fishing lakes and resort.
The Aylesford Course; Golfers of all abilities will find the shorter Aylesford course a varied and enjoyable challenge. Kept to the same high standard as its celebrity sister, both courses offer a good chance that the friendly local deer will wander on to the course in this majestic countryside setting.

Could be better - Arden course
Having played the FofA a few times in recent years, the pace and roll of the greens was very inconsistent, the best green to use was the practice green - quite disappointing! Lots of bear area's around the greens, meaning greenside chipping was horrific. Overall pace was slow, circa 5hrs for 18 holes. Some work needed to improve the experience!Reviewer Rating

Good parkland course
Conditions over the previous few days meant the ground was a little squelchy, but overall this was a good parkland course.Reviewer Rating

A beautiful championship course
This course was simply beautiful and one of the best which I have played for a long time. It was picturesque, allowed me to play holes i'd seen on TV. The place was well looked after. Lots of bunkers which I got into with a lot of ease. The 7th bunker on the right was impossible to get out of and i gave up on that as I couldn't score. I played off 26 and scored 38 points and was chuffed with that result. Greens were large and smooth. Fairways were generous and nice to play on. I loved the 18th long par 3 with the hotel behind the green and bumper guarding right and left.Reviewer Rating

Forest of Arden Aylesbury Course
Beautiful hotel, excellent friendly staff.Food and drink reasonable.
Very slow play round the Aylesbury but more to do with the standard of play than anything else

Past its best?
Greens were pacy and rolling true; fairways were patchy with brown marks/ stains all across the back nine. Bunkers ok, but not raked by users.I suppose, Is the Forest of Arden living off of its name from former years gone by and has the quality of the course fallen away?
