A Grand day Out
Played the course early September and like all other courses, the fairways were in need of some rain, but that's not a criticism of the course as they were mown and there was clear delineations between them and the rough. The greens were excellent. Quite quick and very true. Being just under 6000 yards is about right for someone of my age and handicap. Gone are the days of booming drives I fear. The fairways were wide enough to be forgiving for the occasional slice and the bunkers full of sand. I know this as I was in quite a few. The professional was very welcoming on arrival and despite there being golfers pretty much on every hole, the pace was good. My 2 ball was behind a 3 ball for 12 holes and we still only took around 3 hours. Post-round, the clubhouse, changing facilities and bar were all very good.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course. Considering the weather we are having the green keepers deserve a medal for offering up such a well manicured course.

What has gone wrong
Played 30/05/25 and I have never seen the course in such poor condition. Most tracks are in good shape at this time of the year but, the tees would not match a council run pitch and put and the once superb greens would not have been acceptable in the middle of winter. Fingers crossed they can get it sorted but the course is in need of a lot of TLC and i would not hold my breath on seeing any improvement this year.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course

I have played here a few times but always when the course was dry. I played the KP Masters and there had been a lot of rain in recent weeks. Trolleys were only allowed back on the course the previous day. This meant that there was a lot of standing water on most holes. The grass on fairways and greens was longer than the green keeper might have wished for but it’s understandable why. The course is a fair test for high handicappers such as myself and whilst it was a bit more so yesterday, it wasn’t penal. I will play there again.

Tough, fair and stunning.
This was an excellent challenge with stunning views on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds.The course was in excellent condition, kept that way by a great team of greenkeepers.
The facilities on-site were top notch too; with a lovely restaurant overlooking the 18th, a gym and a pro shop all with friendly and welcoming staff.

Great Course, Very Cool Facilities
Having played another course locally which was very open it was a welcome relief to find this course much more challenging. Some great starting holes which need thought and delicacy. Hazards everywhere but well placed to catch every type of golfer. Met the captain on the long 600 yard par 5 and received a very warm welcome to the course. Good hole maps on every tee and excellent greens. We will return as having loved the course we scored badly, so need to return to rectify that. Lovely Course
Well laid out. Playing during lockdown was perhaps why there were plenty of 'spectators' walking round the course perimeter. For a dry course, how I managed to go into two ponds remains a mystery!Reviewer Rating

Lovely course worth visiting
Nice modern venue with excellent set-up and a course well worth playing offering excellent value for money. The course is well maintained and nicely laid out offering variety for most golf abilities with an exceptionally long par 5! When I visited in June 2020 the course was in excellent condition and greens surperb and as the course continues to mature it will only get better. Well worth a visit you will be warmly welcomed and should thoroughly enjoy. Great modern clubhouse overlooking the 18th which I'm sure would be fun to play on a busy day.Reviewer Rating

Covid-19 Tranquility
The course has an excellent set up to deal with Covid-19 restrictions. Also, it is in very good condition. If you are ever in East Yorkshire, it is a course worth visiting, as you may have seen on TV hosting the Trilby Tour.Reviewer Rating

Well presented course. Some long holes that have to be navigated carefully, but then you do get some risk/reward short par 4's. Greens ran very true. The food in the clubhouse was spot-on, would recommend the club sandwich!

Great Course
Interesting layout with lots of variation, and one seriously long par 5. Greens are tricky, and difficult to hold on to on approach shots. All in all, a good test, and one to return to, as it requires a bit of course knowledge to get the best from it.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 12.4)

Fantastic!
Played early February, so not the greatest course condition, but have played the kp several times in the last 12 months, and every time have enjoyed it. We booked through GolfNow so only paid ?10, and had the best round in a long time!! Took 3 points off my handicap!!Reviewer Rating
