What The Club Says

The course is an 18 hole par 70 of just over 6000 yards, consisting of 2 nine hole loops both of which start and finish at the clubhouse. It will definitely provide a challenge for the experienced golfer with some tight driving holes and tricky par 3’s, whilst also being gentle enough for the less skilful player.

Gem of a place

Really good looking club. Obviously very well looked after. Not the longest but well thought out. A few too many par 3s but other than that really great course with a view that’s worth the green fee by itself. The greens were quick but could be in better shape but not bad enough to detract from the enjoyment of the round. Have already started making plans to bring some friends back for another round.

Really nice course, friendly staff, well maintained. Only gripe is 8 minute tee slots and lots of 4 balls gave us too much waiting around on tees, sometimes with group behind waiting with us at same tee.

Great course and well maintained

I had a really enjoyable afternoon playing alongside my son who is new to golf. We both agreed the course was in fabulous condition and the fairways were cut beautifully and the greens were fast and responsive.
I can highly recommend the course to anyone, it has some challenging holes and you don't need your driver everywhere as you may find yourself in trouble.
An excellent course in Somerset which must be played if in the area.

Great course - unfortunately the long hot weather hasnt helped. Love to play it again in April ?? Watch out for 'Bounce' - in the hard dry conditions it was a challenge! Faded a shot towards the top of the right hand side, only to find after ages of searching it was at the bottom of the slope on the left side!

First timer

Nice, flat course, round complete in 3 1/2hrs. Stunning views of the mendips on 10, 11 & 12. Accuracy off the tee is required. Being really firm and fast, some rough is required on 12 as otherwise it is literally impossible to stay on the fairway off the tee.

Course was in great condition, despite the recent warm weather. As a first time player here, found the course very easy to navigate. All staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. All in all, I had a great afternoon there.

Practice facilities are very good but a little walk to get to the range. Course itself is in very good condition but greens were a little on the slow side.

Hard to find a course better at this price!

Being down in cheddar for a few weeks, this allowed me to try some of local golf courses. Isle of Wedmore was recommended to me from a work colleague, stating that this was one of the best in the area, his recommendation did not disappoint.

I’ve somewhat played through the winter, not many courses that I normally play have their regular tee boxes open, along with air rated greens, which is expected for this time of year in England. The Isle of Wedmore is a fantastic exemption to this, the entire course was in impeccable condition, bar the second hole which had green side bunkers revamped (tee boxes and green were available and it great condition)

A challenging course, front 9 holes leaning towards more thinking and tactical positioning, with the back 9 opening up but increasing in distance to encourage some of your bigger hits off the tee.

Icing on the cake? Stunning views over the surrounding areas on the back 9, get on this course on the right day and you can see for miles!

Has a solid driving range, good chipping green and putting green for ample warm up. I look forward to play here again very soon.
