Disgrace!!!
Subject: Congratulations on Hosting the Snobbiest Golf Club on Earth!Dear The Wegmore Elite,
I just wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude for providing me with the unparalleled pleasure of experiencing the most exquisite snobbery known to mankind during my recent visit to your esteemed golf course.
From the moment I stepped onto the perfectly manicured fairways, I was greeted with disdainful glances and condescending remarks from your illustrious members. It was truly a humbling experience to witness such dedication to the art of snobbery.
I must commend your members for their unwavering commitment to maintaining an atmosphere of exclusivity. The way they effortlessly ignored anyone who didn't meet their stringent standards of attire or social status was truly awe-inspiring.
And let's not forget the delightful exchange I had with a particularly charming member who felt the need to remind me, in not-so-subtle terms, that my mere presence was tarnishing the sanctity of their beloved golf course. How could I ever forget such a touching moment?
In conclusion, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for providing me with a glimpse into the world of high society and elitism. It was an experience I will cherish forever, or at least until I find a golf course that doesn't require me to take out a second mortgage to afford a round of golf.
Yours sincerely,
YEK UBYGG

Tight tees, good course, well managed.
I booked a last minute morning tee at Isle of Wedmere, I was playing alone and in fairness I was 1 or 2 minutes late teeing off, I was asked to run to the first tee as I was collecting my score card a minute or so before my allotted time, there was a 4 ball waiting on the first tee so I tee'd off as quickly as I could. Almost immediately I had to slow my pace as there was another 4 ball on the green infront. The gap between tee times seemed a little tight as for the first few holes I was playing right up to the players in front and the players behind were playing tight to me.
There was an offer from the the tee ahead to play through but as they were playing up to a 4 ball in front there seemed little point in doing so.
After some words from the players behind me I decided to take up the offer and pass the players infront and was almost immediately up against the next 4 and now sandwiched again.
The tee separation was apparently 8 minutes which didn't really feel right and as a result was quite congested.
I managed to finished my 18holes in around 3.5hrs.
The course was in reasonable condition given the weather, no boggy patches and fairly firm underfoot.
The maintenence here especially around the greens was exceptional making putts from just outside the green and fringe the logical choice.
The course had some interesting holes with water hazards and strategically placed bunkers and tree lines making for an interesting round, one that certainly requires some strategy.
In terms of the pricing I felt it excessive for a winter tee the quality of the course/conditions and the speed of play.
I would like to return in the summer to enjoy the course at its best but I imagine the price to be fairly prohibitive to the average golfer/visitor.

Worth A Game
Played here March , 2020.We were looking for somewhere to play not too far off the M5 on the way back from Torquay & found this which was down a remote country lane.
Upon arrival & the first few holes it seemed a bit uninspiring but then things picked up & overall we enjoyed it.
The front 9 is more compact , fairly straightforward , shorter & quite playable with some enjoyable shortish par 4's & three par 3's.
The back 9 is more of a walk & almost 600 yards longer with , unusually ,three consecutive par fives .It also has a few holes with spectacular views which comes out of the blue & unexpectedly after the front 9 terrain.
Although the back 9 has the views i probably enjoyed the front 9 holes more .
There isn't much in the way of fairway bunkering & the greenside bunkers have been well positioned .
The course seems to drain quite well as all greens were in use when other places i had phoned weren't.
I didn't find the pro shop particularly enthusiastic or welcoming on either phone or arrival .
Overall i thought this was a reasonably decent course that was a good finish to our mini golf trip.

First timer
Nice, flat course, round complete in 3 1/2hrs. Stunning views of the mendips on 10, 11 & 12. Accuracy off the tee is required. Being really firm and fast, some rough is required on 12 as otherwise it is literally impossible to stay on the fairway off the tee.Reviewer Rating

Hard to find a course better at this price!
Being down in cheddar for a few weeks, this allowed me to try some of local golf courses. Isle of Wedmore was recommended to me from a work colleague, stating that this was one of the best in the area, his recommendation did not disappoint.I’ve somewhat played through the winter, not many courses that I normally play have their regular tee boxes open, along with air rated greens, which is expected for this time of year in England. The Isle of Wedmore is a fantastic exemption to this, the entire course was in impeccable condition, bar the second hole which had green side bunkers revamped (tee boxes and green were available and it great condition)
A challenging course, front 9 holes leaning towards more thinking and tactical positioning, with the back 9 opening up but increasing in distance to encourage some of your bigger hits off the tee.
Icing on the cake? Stunning views over the surrounding areas on the back 9, get on this course on the right day and you can see for miles!
Has a solid driving range, good chipping green and putting green for ample warm up. I look forward to play here again very soon.
