What The Club Says
Founded in 1895, Handsworth Golf Club is a welcoming Birmingham club with a mature 18-hole parkland course, excellent greens and strong practice facilities. Set in Handsworth Wood, the club combines proud heritage with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, a spacious clubhouse, catering, balcony views across the course and fishing lake, and a warm welcome for members, visitors, societies and guests.

Handsworth
The course was not in a very good condition and has deteriorated since last year. Greens were bumpy and the fairways very patchy in places. Shame as it used to be excellent.Reviewer Rating

Amazing Course
This has to be one of the best courses in the West Midlands that I have ever played. Superb and pristine condition. And at this time of year can only get better. Some great holes and quite a few thinking holes rather than just give it a bash. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.Reviewer Rating

Superb course. Fantastic layout
This is a course that you need to play. Some amazing holes and the course itself is a joy to play. from the slight dogleg right on the first to a beautiful Par 5 on the 18th every hole is well thought out and if you have not played it for a long time then you have a treat with the 11th, 12th and 13th holes. Nice practice pitching and putting areas with nets if you fancy driver practice.Reviewer Rating

The staff member in the pro shop was more than happy to help. Gave us some instructions to "find the 3rd tee box".

Certainly a Course you have to try
if you are in the area then this is the course to play. Superb condition and immaculate work put in by the Greenkeepers every day. Some great holes where you have to aim your drive or pay the price as a result. greens are in excellent condition and very fast for this time of year.Reviewer Rating

Certainly a Course you have to try
Played Handsworth Wood today 20.01.25. The course is in immaculate condition for this time of year. Greens are excellent, Fairways are nice. Only the Tee's might put you off if you do not like playing off the Mats as it is currently playing under the Blue Tees card. But, come summer the tee areas should be superb.
