Ever improving
General condition wise it keeps getting better. The greens had a bit of disease over the winter, but it's on the mend. Most of the bunkers have been refilled with sand, and work is ongoing to level & re-turf the tee beds. Loads of drainage put in & the ponds cleared to hold more water.
It's a good test of golf, but not too hard.
Look for the 3 holes over water, 6, 10 & 12. Probably the three standout holes on the course.

Parkland cracker
It's a cracking parkland course.A good testing layout with trees, water & some blind shots.
A bit wet at the moment, but they stay on full greens all year.
Definitely worth a visit.

Felt Rushed
Went on Duxbury Golf corse today, felt under alot of pressure and very rushed from the 3rd hole onwards. Granted we where pretty new to golf but we've played 2 other corses and not had any problems.Had someone from the office come out on a buggy to tell us to hurry up on the 5th hole.
3rd hole we had the players behind us hitting golf balls at us when we where on the putting green.
I really wouldn't recommend if your looking for a relaxing game. I'm not sure if everyone is sticking to the tee times or there to close together.
Course was OK was some bunkers that looked like they had been flooded and some of the fairways are a little boggy.
We left after the 11th hole because just felt like we where being bullied off to be honest. Really knocked our confidence today and probably wont be going back.

Nice parkland course
It's my home course, so maybe I'm biased, but it's a great track.Condition wise it just keeps getting better & better. There are a handful of bunkers left to be refilled with ssnd, but other than that it's excellent.
It's a good test of golf, but not too hard.

The course was in great condition when I played yesterday. The only issue I have is some of the tees are not level making driving quite difficult. The greens were the best I have seen them and the fairways very good.Reviewer Rating

Good Parkland Track
It's really starting to come back & recover from all the rain we've had.If you can ignore the bunkers, it continues to be in the best condition it's ever been in.
There are some great challenging holes, such as the 6th over water, the 12th through an avenue of trees & the 17th a long dog leg par 4.
The fairly new range with Trackman is a great addition to the practice facilities.

Quality parkland course
A cracking municipal parkland course. Some good challenges with trees, water & strategic Bunkers.
Although challenging its still a course that a high handicapper can enjoy.
Look out for the 6th, 10th & 12th holes, probably the three best holes on the course.
Always in great condition, except can get a bit wet in places. They try to stay on full greens all year round.

Same as last time
Same review as last timeSuperbly laid out amongst trees & over water to provide a great test of golf.
Some investment over recent years has seen the course come on leaps & bounds, with better drainage, improved greens, paths & a driving range with Top Tracer.
It's arguable better than some of the private courses in the area
Always a friendly welcome it's definitely a course worth checking out if you're in the area.

Biased view
I'm biased, Duxbury is my home course & I love it.It just gets better & better. The whole upkeep of the course is the best it's ever been, & set to improve even further as they continue to invest.
There now a small driving range & all the bays have trackman, which is a great way to warm up before a round.
The course layout is superb, a great challenge with a mix of tree lined holes, some water, a few slopes & well placed bunkers.
Add to this full greens all year round & very few winter tees, plus they don't ask to play off mats or move into the tough & you have a great good course which is playable all year round

Superb parkland course
I've said several times on here that Duxbury is in the best condition it's ever been in, but it just keeps getting better & better. A few of the bunkers let it down, but the greens & the rest of the course conditions are superb.Couple this with the lay out, a great mix of tree lined holes, water & a number of hills & slopes & it's one of the best tracks in the region.
The recently installed driving range with track man is another great addition to the services on offer.
A fantastic lay out in great condition, definitely a course to play if you're in the area.
