Mixed bag
fair priceGreens where in great condition and running well
Fairways very hard so keeping the ball on them was difficult as quite a few of them run from right to left and vice versa.

Dewsbury - first time
Played Tuesday 25th June 2024 @ 13.00. All pre booked, buggy available. I thought it was in fantastic condition, and the greens, well talk about undulations..... A couple of holes with markers to aim for given the hilly nature, would I have played them differently now I know them - probably. A good challenge - please be aware to the bells on certain holes. I'll definetly go back.Reviewer Rating

Nice course worth playing
First time playing Dewsbury District GC. Friendly welcome in clubhouse and pro shop. Decent practice facilities. Course in good condition although still showing signs of the prolonged wet winter but not far off being great. Greens ok a little patchy but rolled well. It's a well laid out course if a little hilly in places. No one hole the same. A few holes play longer than they look. Some nice par 3s and the 14th par 4 is a little beauty. Great views from top of the course. Well worth playing for sure.Reviewer Rating

Hilly
Lovely course but if I play it again I will be in a buggy. First 7 holes in particular feel like they're going up a mountain , after that it calms down a bit!Reviewer Rating

Fabulous course with great views
Having played a large number of courses this is certainly the best in Yorkshire. The club is very friendly with help from the staff and members for visiting parties to navigate this dr Mackenzie design. This is a true test of golf with parkland holes leading up to heathland on the top of the hill. This will provide you with stunning views and great memories. The greens and fairways in top notch condition when we visited.Reviewer Rating

Unique challenge
Staff and members were very helpful and welcoming. We were playing 36 holes and it was tough going with a push trolley. Electric trolley or buggy definitely needed. We didn't know the course so relied on the few lines of 'pro's tip' for each hole on the website. It was a great test of golf ability, greens were excellent with some amazing views and memorable holes all the way round.Reviewer Rating
