What the club says: Situated to the south of Huddersfield, close to both the M1 and M62, Woodsome Hall provides traditional quality to its members and visitors alike. Designed by James Braid, who also created Carnoustie, Gleneagles and Dalmahoy, its 14th century Grade 1 listed Club House is stunning. Described as "a hidden gem" by Peter Alliss, a day at Woodsome will provide one of the finest golfing experiences in Yorkshire. Keen golfers, of all levels, will be tested on a course needing accuracy and thought, with a Par of 70 and SSS 71. Measuring 5850 off yellows , 6191 off whites, and over 70 bunkers the course record of 64 shows that it is no walk in the park.

great couse, immacualte condition
Course was in fantastic condition. All bunkers in top nick, greens nice, fast and true. A test on the calves at times on a few steep holes. Clubhouse is a stunning old stone style pub and cottage.Reviewer Rating

Very pleasant course
Despite the very wet weather the course was in good condition, just 2 winter greens (one on a temporary hole). Matts were used on all tees and they were well kept, fairway matts in use too. For ?25 for winter golf at such a good course it's well worth a visit. And we had the course to ourselves!Reviewer Rating

excellent greens
First time we have played this course.17/11/17.Greens were in better condition than other courses we played during the summer. Would definitely play again (if the price is right???). Layout of the course and facilities are also very goodNever parked on a cobbled car park before..... set in the grounds of Woodsome hall, so a round of golf with a piece of history thrown in
Staff also very friendly and helpful

With its unique character. ...16th Century club- house, beautiful inland fairways, excellently groomed challenging contoured greens....not to mention the easily accessible location. ..excellent catering inclusive of friendly helpful staff and great beers !!!
NB....weather was equivalent to my sunny Royal Guernsey Golf Club....not sure if typical!
I can see why Gary and Nick chose to join recently. ...can't imagine why they asked my opinion !!!
Will definitely visit again....and would recommend good golfers to check out the website. ..full trip package...very inviting.
Excellent.
