What the club says: Chilworth Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of Southampton amongst rolling farmland and forestry. In 1994 the back nine was opened for play, and although slightly shorter than the front nine which was built in 1998, many golfers find it equally as challenging. The course can be either played as a full eighteen, or as separate nines at a reduced rate for when time is limited.

If you want to play in jeans and t shirts and share bags this is your club. They don't care . I would recommend to these people.

Held up 5 minutes on every hole, two groups waiting on every tee box, tee times poorly organised no course marshall not in control of play. Completley ruined the round. Normally play chilworth within three in hours maximun, toole 4 in a half.

Its a good option for golfers looking for a reasonably priced and enjoyable round in the Southampton area. Our group really enjoyed it and we were all first timers. The on site cafe bar was a great way to finish off our day. We shall return again. Thank you all at Chilworth.

Huge improvement
New property just listed clubhouse, good quality food and great staff.The course is really benefitting from all the ongoing work -drainage, fairways prepared well, greens responding to all the the the cutting and putting now feel so much better

Great Improvements
Played the course in recent weeks and used the range again, great improvements going on, hopefully it continues. Catering and bar now offered and competitively priced and better than other local options. Keep up the good work!Reviewer Rating

Fun course and friendly staff
Played a twilight 9 holes and was very pleasantly surprised by the course layout and condition. The front 9 is a great fun stretch of holes - some generous fairways (and light rough) which encourage a big hit off the tee, but also plenty of doglegs and hazards to make you think carefully.For the cost of a twilight round this is a steal… and even a bargain at full day rates. Can’t wait to play again.

How you justify 30 pound green fee for 15 holes, no clubhouse or bar is beyond me. Course not looked after and a really poor turn out all round. Shame as it could be really good if they cared about the course and their customers. Avoid

Two different nines here, the outward nine has wide fairways which allow you to open your shoulders and get the big guns out, and the shorter more tricky back nine. The fairways were well defined with a thick rough. I always have an issue with this as I understand it is rough but you spend so much time looking for balls in it, especially in the these days of 5 hour rounds. The greens were good with a good roll on them. The staff were friendly and helpful with any queries. Let down by no catering facilities.

Lovely course but can get very dry in summer and boggy in winter
Day at Chilworth was enjoyable with good pace of play. Greens were being tined so very slow but was warned at reception.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: 22.5)

Easy to get to from where I live. Really well managed since COVID . Friendly staff to help out where needed with a decent range a good pr shop. Front 9 can be challenging with a much easier shirt back 9

Great course
First time I've played here and really enjoyed it. Green's in great condition with some really nice holes. Plenty of trees, but fairly easy to find you ball. I will be back. Great to be able to buy 20 balls for the range before we started too.Reviewer Rating
