Played end of July 2023. Course in fantastic condition. Greens in particular were very impressive. Stunning setting with Lammermuir Hills as a backdrop, very peaceful and rural feel, yet easily accessible for edinburgh, east and midlothian. Modern clubhouse, covererd driving range, very friendly owners and surely the best value membership in east lothian. A true hidden gem.

Good Test, Friendly Club
Having had some trouble with their greens the last time I visited Castle Park is now in excellent condition. The fairways are lush and the greens are in good condition. There are some really nice holes and some challenging ones with some blind tee shots on the back 9. The club house is modern and nice and the staff were friendly and welcoming.Reviewer Rating

Tough day
Greens are in the best condition I have seen then for some time so the 3 years of work is clearly paying off.Bunkers need quite a bit of work and course in places looking scruffy

Course is getting better. Some small alterations and trees have grown. Greens better than they have been in the past and at £25 its a bargain

Returned to this venue for first time in couple of years. Club house has had major make over. Course still a challenge especially in the wind and rain. Really enjoyed our outing.

New club house - but still work being done about the place.

As always an excellent place to play golf. New clubhouse being built which we got a guided tour of.
This place will be superb when done.
Lots of effort gone not tidying some of the holes up to make it even more picturesque than before.

Very good value, the friendliness of the staff starts everything off in the right vein, a nice snack between the 9th green and the 10th tee allows the game to be analysed before embarking on the original 9 holes of this hidden wee gem in the East Lothian hills.

very nice to play this course was not to busy for £18 very good value for money only complaint I have is they is resting the tee boxes so you end up teeing off out the rough on the down or up slope and could have been cut short to make it a bit easier

Friendly course in the Lothian countryside. A little known gem, seldom very busy, so the golf can be as leisurely or intense as required. Weekdays often allow a coffee/sandwich break before going onto the second nine. Greens are invariably lush and true, and always in play during winter months

With the exception of the 1st and 9th holes - overall the First 9 wasn't as good as the back 9. Some really good and enjoyable holes on the back nine!

the back 9 holes is the best i really liked 11 and 12 first 9 holes are pritty bland

A course of 2 Halves. The back 9 is a delightful run of holes with many outstanding features that also gives some interesting shots. By contrast the front 9 is rather bland and very exposed to the wind. Once this first half matures and the Trees establish should be a good course.
