Fantastic Course
Beautiful course, in fantastic condition A great layout, with the first half being in the Lowlands of Scotland, then crossing over to the Highlands great mix of tough par 3s, challenging par4s, and great par 5s Well worth a visit(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: )

great course
great to be playing after lockdown. thanks to all the greenkeepers and golf team.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 104 Handicap: 31.1)

Not Impressed with course condition!!!
Booked to play the 'Open Competition' today and arrived an hour before my tee-time to be pleasantly greeted by the pro-shop staff. Got signed in and had the breakfast included in the cost, so far so good. Got to the 1st tee 20 mins before my tee-time and 2 mins before I was due to tee off was advised my 2 playing partners had cancelled at the last minute. Was told there was another tee-time in the comp 40 mins later which I could join in with. Went back and waited and 10 mins before this time was told that person I was now meant to be playing with had also cancelled!!!!! I then had 2 options, wait until 11am (3 hours after I arrived) or go out on my own straight away but not take part in the competition! I decided to go out on my own as I was totally hacked off that they couldn't split the other 4 balls between 10 and 11am to make a 3 and a 2 ball!!!! As soon as I set foot on the course I immediately knew it should have been closed. The fairways were so soft through the rain there was no run at all on the ball at all. The greens must have been running at 2 on the meter as they were so slow it was ridiculous. Every footstep was in soaked, soft pathetic grass. The course was not playable and should have been closed but I would imagine the £45.00 per player they would have lost if they cancelled the comp was the reason this 'competition' was allowed to continue. On that point I presume some of my entry fee was towards the longest drive, nearest the pin and winner trophy prize but none of that was refunded bearing in mind I was now no longer in the competition. The only plus is that the course has a nice layout, unfortunately I wont be back to try again. Staff were very nice but whoever makes the decisions on the course being open is only interested in the balance sheet and not the player experience.

Carrick Cream of the Crop
What a fantastic course, layout is tremendous, scenery second to none, condition of course excellent(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: )

Excellent course
The course is in excellent condition and will only get better.throughout the season.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 101 Handicap: 29.7)

TLC required
A great lay out and fantastic settings but needs some care and attention as it has went downhill since the last time I played the course almost 3 years ago. They have went for quantity over quality and is still a society venue. A real shame.

Fantastic course, will be back
Great course with fantastic views. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the course was in good condition. The facilities were excellent as was the club house food.

(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 104 Handicap: 32.2)

Great course
Played on a beautiful summers day and despite the recent heatwave the course was in good condition. The greens are playing great, maybe a little slower than usual given the heat and longer grass. The fairways look very scorched, quite yellow across the board but considering some of the other courses played recently they still play well.
The views on the back 9 especially are tremendous and the Par 3 16th is a pleasure to play towards the loch from an elevated tee. Just wonderful
It was a busy day and we got bunched up around the 16th but still got round in a bit over 4 hours
Not bad value but only because we got a deal for under £50

Boggy conditions
Really disappointed never played such a boggy wet golf course, don't get me wrong the layout is ok and the views are great but that doesn't make up for the extremly poor condition, this is as far from a championship course as it is from being dry! Consolation was the place was really quiet compared to the last time we played, which was great, I can only imagine it's down to the condition.

The carrick
Worse course that I have played, was water logged on every hole and was hard going under foot(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 134 Handicap: 0)

Great little course
Great fun for practise ahead of any of the “trophy” courses near here. Narrow and tricky and it makes you think carefully about game management.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 39 Handicap: )

Tremendous course
The layout of this course is fantastic. Lots of water around first four holes, so make use of the excellent practice facilities on the range, or in the nets, to warm up, before you start. Views on the course are outstanding. Clubhouse facilities and staff are excellent, also one of the best stocked pro shops around. Get yourself there, and enjoy a great day.

Great Home Course
The course's drainage is doing well. The excessive rainfall is generally being dealt with effectively. As my home course it is tough but makes all the other courses I play seem easier.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 114 Handicap: 33.5)

Difficult test

good course
we played for the first time . good course . but was very wet dew to lots of rain.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 15.1)

worth a hit if its dry.
nice course brilliant views, shame course holds so much water. Played better courses and paid less, waterlogged fairways but greens were in great condition as the were spiked as were the tee boxes. Had rain for weeks over the winter and never dried out. Would like to play it dry. This was the first hit of the season hopefully gets better.(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 106 Handicap: 25.6)

Should be called Loch Lomond on the Carrick
This course is absolutely soaking wet! It's a real shame as the layout & views are spectacular. I would love to play it after a drought!
