What the club says: Whilst not long at just over 5,600 yards off the back markers, the course is a demanding par 68.
The course is lined by gorse, heather, whinstone and rare fauna and has a unique series of opening holes with back to back par 3s followed by two excellent par 5s. While not the longest course, amounting to just over 5,600 yards, it is a demanding par 68 although there are birdie opportunities especially on the way home with three par 4s under 300 yards for you to savour.

Beautiful Course
The views from almost every part of the course are stunning, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, the North Sea Coast. It's almost difficult to concentrate, but make sure you do, the course may not be that long, but with narrow fairways and the ubiquitous wind it's very tricky!(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 11.6)

Great cliff top course
Fun on the cliff tops. It was a fine day but there was some wind which made some holes playing into it monsters for a high handicapper (yes no. 6 I mean you!)(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 22.7)

cliff top
SUnny day by the sea what's not to like. Bit of a wind and some very challenging holes but enjoyable(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 104 Handicap: 33.5)

Hidden gem
Lovely links course with spectacular views. Short course but some lovely testing holes - many blind shots.

Great links on the Northumberland coast
Fabulous layout in great condition

Sublime Links Experience
Bamburgh is a gem of a course. We visited on a warm but windy October Sunday. Every hole is a true test. Starting with a drive to a par 3 over a cliff edge to the driveable par 4 17th from a clifftop. Some excellent risk reward holes. Notably the greens are perfect and I challenge any golfer good with the putter not to putt well on them. If you havent played this course you absolutely must. Great layout, challenging but scoreable if you play well.

Twilight North East
First time at this course....stunning views and some great golf holes especially on a windy late afternoon....only thing that spoilt it slightly was that the greens were a bit slower than I would have expected on a links course(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 79 Handicap: 10.8)

Great course
Probably one of the most interesting courses I have evr played with amazing views over the coast. Not an easy course, needs accuracy rather than distance but decent greens, well kept bunkers (not too many!) and almost no trees!!(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23.1)

Brilliant variety!
Superb value for money at ?21 after 3pm. Greens and fairways were excellent (although greens were being spiked) but clearly looked after well. Each hole offered great challenge especially some 'blind' shots that require great imagination for those new to the course.Would play it again in a heartbeat!

Spectacular, Challenging, Friendly
Played several times on this challenging course, suits a 'better golfer' I would say. As a retired person the walk can be hard so a buggy may be helpfull. Pace of play is always good but take a few extra balls and expect to loose a couple. Expect a good pint at the end

A must play in Northumberland
Firstly the pratice nets seemed out of action whilst we were there, the putting green was nice and two tiered. The tees, fairways were both in excellent conditions, with the former having positions with stunning views over the surrounding landscape. The semi rough/ rough was of a challenging length, but not long enough to lose your ball. Finally the par 3's are the crowning gem of this course as they are all have beautiful views of the castle, bay and the farne islands respectively. Overall a must play if staying in northumberland.

Loved it!
Question: What do you get if you cross a set of quirky, sometimes unique holes with stunning sea views?Answer: A round at Bamburgh Castle Golf Club
This golf course is a reminder that amongst all talk of stiff tests, challenges, and playing to your handicap, golf is a game which first and foremost should be enjoyed. I defy anyone not to be taken in by the views from much of this course (I think I had a constant smile on my face for the first 9 holes) and the holes blend perfectly into the cliff top setting to provide a great variety of holes.
I won’t give anything further away – if you are in the area check it out – especially on a glorious sunny day.

Must Play
This course has everything, fantastic views and in superb condition. You have to use every club in the bag at some point. Doesn't play long but is very tight, rewards accuracy rather than distance and every hole is unique. Very hilly so get a buggy if you need it.
