What The Club Says
Ballards Gore Golf Club, is an 18 hole Golf Club situated 2 miles from Rochford and is set in 110 acres of countryside. We are one of the longest courses in Essex, 6769 yards with a par of 73 and is set between the historic village of Canewdon which was renowned for its witchcraft and Stambridge near Rochford in South East Essex. The course offers a truly impressionable and challenging game of golf. There is also a large practice area for pitching and driving as well as a putting green situated near the clubhouse.

Fair course, well kept. Forgiving fairways especially some holes where undergrowth is cleared. Greens were decent for the time of the year.Reviewer Rating

played the course was told in great condition but was far from it . Waited 20 mins to get on first hole members in front and totally did not want us there.Having played there some time ago how the course has changed. Trees have been taken out so makes it easier , greens very hard and rough was so high no chance of getting out . lots bare lies on fairways and the staff in the bar very rude

Society Day at Ballards Gore
13 of us descended from all parts of London and beyond, organised by myself in Essex. Ballards is along a flat course with a reasonable amount of different challenges. The team at BGGC was exemplary, the rolls etc were good and the service was fantastic. The professional guided us through the course and the dos and don't and we all had a great time, won by the only female participant on the day (42pts) Well done Ballards, the course was good, tidy, and challenging.Reviewer Rating
