Worth the price

Amazing
The overall layout of the course was brilliant, can’t see how people give it bad reviews on here friendly staff and a greenkeeper who obviously knows what he is doing, greens were mid pace but with the weather we’ve had what do we expect, was a little untidy around the lakes but you can see they’re working on that, bar staff were very friendly! Both pros were helpful chatty and made sure we were off the right few so we didn’t get held up! Not everyday you get that! Would recommend to anyone for the money there’s not much better.Reviewer Rating

1st played today, excellent course, very friendly staff, very well set out, pace of play very good, I would definitely play this course again, will also recommend this club to anyone one too.

Lovely course in fantastic condition
Would highly recommend.... club house lacks atmosphere and the guy in pro shop could do try a warmer welcome
But that said.... I will defniatly return !!!!

Top course, great nick, no problem getting on at the wkend. Played at 11am as a twoball and had course virtually to ourselves, was round in under 4 hrs.

A really good golf course in great condition. The greens are in excellent condition and have a very true roll, the fairways and tee box's are equally as good and it was a real pleasure to play. The new facilities in the club house are very nice and the food is really good quality and reasonably priced. The course layout is challenging and there are some fantastic quirky holes, it is very long and it makes a refreshing change to the normal driver pitching wedge par 4! Definitely going back!

very friendly club food very good and good value .very long for me off 19 but thats my fault lol. pro shop staff excellent a bit wet when we played 25 oct looking forward to play the coarse in the summer.would join if i lived nearer so well done all.keith

This course is tucked away in the middle of nowhere near Southend and in my opinion is a gem.
The course accept 2 fore 1 vouchers of every variety even at weekends, this makes for an excellnt golfing experience without breaking the bank.
The course (even thouh it was November when we played) was in excellent condion. The short Par 3 first is deceiving and will lull you into a false sense of security. You are brought down to earth with a bump at the second where you face a tee shot over water which if long enough will give you a second onto a raised green protected by bunkers and more water. The course meanders though some picturesqe Essex parkland and I felt was it was at the very least a very nice place to be.
The Pro Shop is small but well stocked with the basics and the staff were extremely helpful. A nice club house with dining room and changing facilities round of a rather nice course.
I hope to make a return trip in the summer to see the course when the ground is harder and the sun is shining.

Society Day at Ballards Gore
13 of us descended from all parts of London and beyond, organised by myself in Essex. Ballards is along a flat course with a reasonable amount of different challenges. The team at BGGC was exemplary, the rolls etc were good and the service was fantastic. The professional guided us through the course and the dos and don't and we all had a great time, won by the only female participant on the day (42pts) Well done Ballards, the course was good, tidy, and challenging.Reviewer Rating
