Went today to use up a Groupon deal.
Was told the course was closing an hour early (7pm!!). Non-refundable deposit of £20 on a buggy if not returned by 6:30.
No coffee or tea available (no coffee beans or milk apparently) whilst the bar staff watched TV.
Shambolic and a shamereally.

Lots of short par 4s make this a good course for a beginner or occasional golfer. Greens in great condition but fairways very dry after the heatwave!

I'm a beginner to golf and only started playing around May last year. I've played here about 6-7 times since then and have to say it's improved a lot. The biggest improvement being the greens which are in tip top condition (much better than Stockley Pines, which at the moment are terrible) - Great little course for those new to golf but still gives your regular golfer a bit of a challenge on a few holes.

Well kept course with some nice featured holes. Can get a bit monotonous, and on some holes where there were well placed hazards eg bunkers, or water (mainly dry!) these are now gone. Greens seemed to play unusually slow. Straight, not necessarily long hitters will devour this course....but that's the test right!
Driving range was not in great condition with missing tees last time I used it.

For the price of £18 I think this is a good value course with some challenging holes and the greens for the time of the year are better than expected with the recent weather. Worth a go for the average golfer. The better golfer alike should try elsewhere.

Airlinks course is playing quite short with the tee positions moved up to conserve the actual tee. Given this and the relatively short Par 4 holes makes for a nice easy walk. Greens as always in fantastic condition as usual bearing in mind the time of year.

This won't be your greatest test of golf ever, but for a cheap 18 holes then it serves a purpose. I would suggest that this course is a bigger test for mid to higher handicap players than lower, but for most people this will be one the easier places to play.

It's generally fairly open, but the back 9 is a little tighter than the front. There are some long par 3's to keep you on your toes, but there are a number of shorter par 4's to make up for it. The greens were in very good condition, although the rest of the course had a slightly scruffy appearance to it.

Wow what a difference 6 months make, the rough has been tidied up and the fairways trimmed. But the most noticable difference are the greens which are very good, worth a return trip.

Poor fairways but decent enough greens although relatively flat and straight forward. Plays very short (drive and a wedge most holes) so can be easy to score well on as the hazards are not particularly hazardous!

Greens quite good, fairways patchy, need watering or something. Always find your ball in between patches of grass even in the centre of the fairway. Prices have shot up recently, with no course improvements. Also the driving range doesn't seem to be maintained very well.

This course always seems to have a stigma of being very baron lacking bit of character. Maybe true in the old days but it is constantly improving (trees, bunkers, ponds). Very flat quite open forgiving fairways. Not the most taxing but a good test. Interesting holes throughout. Great for beginners and practicing as it is flat and forgiving. I like this course and always has cheap green fees. Good clubhouse. Also has driving range putting green chipping and bunker area. Greens fairways good condition.

they have recently changed the layout of the course - still can't make up my mind whether it's improved as a result. fairly basic open course and not particularly long, with a couple of lengthy par 3's and 5's. starts with an easily drivable green on the 1st, and ends with a par 5 fairway which is split by a brook at optimum driving distance. a big hitter will carry the brook, slightly short and you'll bounce in. overall quite a leisurely course to play.

Nice and local to work for me so I play here quite a lot. Recent new management has moved this up a notch. Don't expect Augusta, it's flat, fairly straight but has some nice holes that can test you. The rough is longer so thats toughened it up a bit, the greens and fairway are in splendid condition at the moment. Cheap but certainly not nasty.
