The Carrick on Loch Lomond Backs Charity Golf Day

By: Golf Shake | Wed 05 Dec 2012

4964-carrickThe stunning Carrick on Loch Lomond has found the Christmas spirit early after announcing that it will slash the cost of its corporate golf days for any charity by 50% in 2013. The award-winning venue, which has hosted the Ladies European Tour and the PGA Cup matches since opening in 2007, has become renowned for offering some of the best all-round golf experiences in the UK. Underlining the resort’s undoubted quality was the recent recognition it received from website MSN, who named The Carrick one of the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Golf Courses’ alongside the likes of Pebble Beach in California.

“We have always been supporters and have welcomed a host of charities to The Carrick in the last 12 months in particular, but by reducing the rate of our corporate golf days we hope to offer charities the type of golf day that they desire at a more affordable rate,” commented Ross Whitfield, General Manager, The Carrick Golf Club. “That higher-quality experience for the guests will hopefully facilitate greater funds for the charity involved.”

The Carrick specialises in providing corporate golf days by tailoring their offering to the needs of the individual needs of the client. Whether it be organising invitations, guest-list management, sourcing photographers, pre-round lessons from one of the PGA Qualified Coaching Staff, on-course competition management, catering arrangements, after-dinner speakers, or overnight guest accommodation, The Carrick is well-equipped for groups of any size.

“Some of the charities that have thrived at The Carrick in 2012 are the likes of the Variety Club, Cash for Kids, Epilepsy Scotland, and Kidney Research. We sincerely hope that this exclusive charity rate for 2013 will not only encourage many of them to return next year but help many others realise the affordability of The Carrick and our passion for charity work.”
