Maylands Golf Club 2012 Pro-Am in aid of Make a Wish Foundation

The Pro-Am was played on Wednesday 6^th June, which raised just over £565 for Make a Wish Foundation. The sunny June weather came out to play for the golfers, we a few showers in the afternoon, which made scoring conditions tough. Only 6 professionals broke par on the day.

The Day was supported by 120 golfers including 30 professionals from all over the East of England. Golfers were tested with a mixture of weather including sunshine, swirling wind and rain, which made club selection impossible for most the field but this didn’t stop the winning James Scade, Professional from Regiment Way Golf Centre, who shot a five under par (66) to win by two shots. The Winning Amateur team was won by Steve Ramsbottom, Jason Hinton & James Craig, who all are members of Maylands Golf Club.

The Pro-Am is being held in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation and is supported by CCV Sports and Leisure.
