Ladies Easter Golf - Cottrell Park

On the Thursday before Easter, forty ladies from Cottrell Park Golf Club played a 12 holeTexas Scramble, on a cold blustery day. The winners were Helen Poole, Andrea Caines, Mary Watkins and Geraldine Twamley with a gross 49, net 41.7.  second were Margaret Thomas, Anne Birt, Norma Fryer and Elaine Mais with gross 52, net 42.3.  Fifty ladies enjoyed the Easter lunch that followed the competition, the flower arrangements on the tables were  provided by Angela Padfield and were won by the lucky ladies who had a red dot under their saucer.  After the Easter raffle, Judy James, Ladies’ Captain presented the prizes of Easter eggs to the winning teams. The Winter eclectic trophy is usually presented at this lunch but unfortunately the winner Celine Chew was not available to accept it.  Also there was a tie for the Winter league trophy between Jenny McGlyne ,Jan Thomas and Sian Lovell and this will be decided by a knock out competition.  Judy thanked every one for attending.
