American Golf National Academy opens at High Legh Park Golf Club

By: Golf Shake | Mon 13 Jul 2015

American Golf is delighted to announce the opening of the American Golf National Academy at High Legh Park Golf Club, Knutsford. The Grand Opening of the Academy is on 21st July and will feature celebrity appearances, golf clinics with the professionals and live entertainment.

The latest initiative designed to improve its customer’s games, the American Golf National Academy will offer state of the art facilities for golfers to hone their game. With PGA Professionals in store and on the range, the latest golf equipment and fantastic golf facilities, the Academy provides a perfect environment for an improving golfer.

“We’ve given a great deal of thought to the development of an American Golf National Academy and at High Legh Park we’ve found a team as dedicated to improving golfer’s games as ourselves,”  commented Daniel Gathercole, American Golf Head of Marketing. “We will have PGA Pro’s, the latest technology for swing analysis and fitting, nutritionists and physical trainers to help golfers reach their peak condition and the very best equipment available so that every aspect of performance is optimised.  And for anyone who just wants to blast some balls on the range or have a casual knock, we even cater for that too!”

The facilities at the Academy comprise of 9 and 18 hole courses, driving range, coffee shop, a soon to be opened children’s course, and American Golf Retail store. This mix of first class facilities is what first drew High Legh Park to the attention of American Golf when it began its search for a partner for its National Academy.

Gavin Beddow, General Manager at High Legh Park commented, “We’ve worked incredibly hard to make High Legh Park a venue that appeals to every level, from absolute beginner to scratch golfers. Our partnership with American Golf on its National Academy has been a great experience and will help us take things to the next level where we can provide the very best facilities for improving golfers.”

American Golf has big plans for the National Academy, teeing off with the High Legh festival of golf. A week of competitions along with promotions from the biggest brands in golf will see the first visitors to the Academy benefitting from the best the game has to offer. Moving forward, the Academy will be a focus for many of the company’s initiatives aimed at growing the game of golf and will act as a home club for American Golf that showcases its commitment to improving its customer’s games.
