Footjoy Brand Ambassadors to Compete in Customised Footwear at 2012 Open Championship

Specially created Open Championship designs that FJ loyalist will be wearing in competitionFootJoy has announced that its brand ambassadors will be wearing specially-created FJ golf shoes at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club as they compete to win this year’s Open Championship.

Five popular FJ styles have been commissioned to celebrate the return of golf’s most famous Major Championship to the famed Lancashire links following a ten year absence.

With the colours red and white at the forefront of the identity of Royal Lytham & St Annes, FootJoy has utilised its state-of-the-art MyJoys programme to customise the ultra-comfortable and flagship FJ ICON Traditional, Shield Tip and Asymmetrical models. These three styles have been further complimented by the stunning red & white versions of the athletically-infused FJ SPORT and the immensely stable and performance-packed XPS-1.

So far 15 FJ loyalists from the PGA Tour and 9 from the European Tour have confirmed they will be wearing these Open Championship MyJoys and in-line styles. World #1 Luke Donald and Bubba Watson continue to put their trust in FJ ICON and will wear Shield Tip and Asymmetrical styles respectively. World #2 Rory McIlroy will also be bringing his dynamic game to proceedings in his favourite FJ SPORT as he seeks a second Major title.
