adidas Golf has announced the return of its Adipower franchise for 2026, bringing back one of its most recognisable performance-led footwear names with a range of new models designed to deliver comfort, traction and stability.

First introduced in February 2015, Adipower has long been positioned as a shoe family built around strength and performance, and this latest relaunch marks the first major update to the franchise since June 2019.

The new line-up includes a spiked Adipower 26 model for men, alongside spikeless Adipower 26 SL and Adipower 26 SL BOA options for both men and women.

At the centre of the updated range is adidas’ focus on energy return, grip and support, with several new and returning technologies incorporated across the collection.

The headline spiked model, the Adipower 26, features lace loops connected directly to the eyestay for what adidas describes as a more robust fit and improved support, while a slightly thicker shoelace has also been introduced to further enhance stability and allow for a more customised fit.

Underfoot, the shoe uses INFINITY TRAXION, which combines the THINTECH MAX CLEAT with an ADIWEAR rubber outsole platform. adidas has also integrated a POWER PLANE TPU plate into the outsole, stretching from the lateral forefoot to the medial heel, which has been engineered to follow the golfer’s weight path through the swing and provide additional grip, stability and durability.

Another key addition is the REPETITOR midsole, which is new to Adipower. Designed to offer energy return with a softer and lighter feel, the cushioning compound uses a less dense EVA construction to reduce overall weight without sacrificing comfort or support. adidas says the technology has already been used successfully across its running, training and tennis categories.

The Adipower 26 also features a waterproof genuine leather upper, backed by a one-year waterproof warranty, as well as a padded heel construction aimed at delivering a more accommodating and personalised fit for a variety of heel shapes.

For golfers who prefer a spikeless design, adidas is also introducing the Adipower 26 SL BOA and W Adipower 26 SL BOA, which feature a new BOA construction with a free-floating sling designed to improve fit. This system uses TPU flaps in the medial and lateral quarters, stitched on the underside, allowing the fit to adjust more naturally when the L6 BOA dial on the tongue is tightened.

These BOA models also use the REPETITOR midsole and a modified INFINITY TRAXION outsole, this time combining three different traction lug shapes to maximise grip and maintain broad ground contact across a range of course conditions.

A further outsole feature exclusive to the spikeless models is SWING PLANE TRAXION, a TPU centrepiece created to enhance grip, stability and durability. As with the spiked model, golfers can also expect a waterproof genuine leather upper and added heel padding for comfort.

Completing the line-up are the Adipower 26 SL and W Adipower 26 SL, which retain many of the same design cues, including direct eyestay lace loops, thicker laces, a TPU saddle with 3-Stripes branding, the SWING PLANE TRAXION outsole element, waterproof leather protection and the new REPETITOR midsole.

Commenting on the new range, Masun Denison, Global Footwear Director, adidas Golf, said: "Golfers continue to need a variety of footwear options that offer high performance for when they’re out on the course. With this in mind, we continue to work hard as a team to provide the best footwear we possibly can across a variety of price points. Adipower is that option that focuses on the key components of comfort, traction and stability, but all within a budget-friendly silhouette. We’re excited for this bold and sporty silhouette to return and know golfers will be excited as well."

With a strong emphasis on practical performance and a more accessible price-point positioning, the return of Adipower should appeal to golfers looking for a modern shoe that blends athletic styling with the support and traction needed on the course.
