Ryder Cup legend to host Yorkshire Invitational 2026
The Yorkshire invitational is returning to Ilkley Golf Club on 16 and 17 September, and it returns with a bang.
This year's Invitational will be hosted by legendary European golf figure Colin Montgomerie.
Colin has 31 European Tour victories and eight Order of Merit titles to his name, and he played in eight Ryder Cups, before later captaining Europe to victory in 2010.
Having spent much of his childhood at Ilkley Golf Club, Colin brings a special connection to the event, one that promises to make this year’s Invitational even more memorable!

The Celeb-Am will also be returning to the event, with Gareth Southgate, Michael Vaughan and Zinzan Brooke going head-to-head to be crowned champion.
The first day consists of a morning Pro-Am where one golf professional plays with three amateurs, and an afternoon Celeb-Am where three players will play with a sporting celebrity. On Thursday, the Pro-Am tournament sees one professional and three amateurs play where one golf professional will be crowned the Yorkshire Invitational champion.
As well as attracting well-known golfers and celebrities, the Yorkshire Invitational offers a fantastic opportunity for business figures to connect and network in a stunning environment. It's also a chance to offer corporate incentives and team-building days, with unique sponsorship options, including five hole-in-one competitions.
Whether you're looking for a team day out, a family day out or a weekend away with your golfing pals, the Yorkshire Invitational is a great event to consider. What makes it even better is that admission is completely free!
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for further information as the event draws closer.
