What The Club Says
The 6276 yard course is a great deal more difficult than it might first appear with the River Wharfe acting as an ever-present threat for the first seven holes of this tree-lined course. Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie learnt his golf here and the club also boasts Mark James as an honorary life member. His highlight of the course is the par 3 15th, of which he says: "it is only an 8 or 9 iron in but the sloping green can look tiny in the normal left to right wind."

Ilkley
Fantastic course in excellent condition - a must play! Very pretty course located alongside a river. Plenty of trees and bunkers but very pleasant.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 79 Handicap: 14)

Okay!
Ilkley golf course has a splendid course however it is slightly ruined by the GUR signs (Ground Under Repair) and some of the more senior golfers are a bit unfriendly and grumpy. However a decent course!Reviewer Rating

Always a pleasure
Second trip to Ilkley & reminded how good a course it is. Lots of early water to negotiate before the course becomes more undulating. Real varied mix of holes in stunning surroundings.Reviewer Rating

First Class
One of the best courses in West Yorkshire. The course is in excellent condition, with the greens and fairways outstanding and true. Always love playing this course with friends.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.6)

Seen better days
Have played Ilkley GC a few times now and always in winter months as usually offers a full course (no temp greens). Food not up to usual standards, bacon butty a bit dry. Members not friendly seem to not want any visiting parties invading their course. Course not in great nick compared to my own course, some fairways very bare, not recovered from summer months, greens slow and very uneven. Will I return again, verdicts out.Reviewer Rating

A great course in beautiful surroundings
An absolute gem of a course in the wonderful town of Ilkley. Course was in great condition and the scenery absolutely stunning. Pro shop very friendly indeed and they couldn't have done enough for us.If you want to play a round in Yorkshire, Ilkley GC is a must for you.
