Rife Putters has 6 in the top 9 at the LPGA Sybase Match Play Championship

By: Adam Smith | Wed 23 Jun 2010

Rife PutterRife Putters continued its incredible year at the LPGA Sybase Match Play Championship, seeing its putters used by 6 of the top 9 players including eventual winner Sun Young Yoo.

Sun Young Yoo rolled her 2 Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet to a 3 & 1 victory over Angela Stanford in the final having overcome fellow Rife user and No. 1 seed Jiyai Shin (Rife 400 Mid Mallet) in the semi final. Yoo negotiated the toughest side of the draw on the way to her first win on the LPGA Tour, beating the Nos. 1, 4, 5, 10 & 12 seeds along the way.

Along with Yoo and Shin, Rife saw their putters on the course in the hands of 4th placed Amy Yang (2 Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet), and 3 players Tied for 9th place: Beatriz Recari (Barbados), Inbee Park (2 Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet) and Jee Young lee (2 Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet).

This victory marks the continuing strides forward that Rife is making in the ladies game in 2010. Rife was the second most popular putter brand at the tournament with 17% of players choosing to use its putters. This is despite the fact that Rife still holds dear to it’s policy of not paying any player to use it’s putters.

With more players on Ladies Tours across the world making the same choice to play a Rife week in week out, the success of Sun Young Yoo and her fellow Rife users will be sure to be repeated elsewhere in the world very soon.
