Gtour: Belton Results & Next Event

By: Colin Astbury | Tue 25 Aug 2009

5 events in and going strong the Gtour fields 47 players at Belton Woods with just over 6000 order of merit points awarded for first place. Attendees were rewarded with the obligatory gtour sunshine as well as gale force winds making for an interesting and challenging event that everybody wanted to win.

Belton woods ia a beautiful course peppered with water hazards. This par 72 Championship course can be a tricky course for high handicappers, with lakes guarding the approaches to many greens.

Course management and shot placement is key here. The holes are long and the fairways tight, so anything wayward from the tee could result in you having to lay up in front of the water. The 9th hole is over 600 yards, one of the longest in Europe.
