New gear for the new season

Posted by: user338942 | Thu 2nd Feb 2012 00:44 | Last Reply

A lot of people turn out for the first medal of the season will shiney new gear whether its a new driver, the latest putter or a bag.

Whats on your list to parade at the begining of April??

For me, only really need a new pair of shoes and possibly a new hybrid - currently have the orignal TM rescue which is 8/9yo...

No seasons for me, just carry on and the new gear just gets dlotted in as and when.  Just slipped some new grips on today, does that count?

I suppose I will be starting the season with a new bag and irons to what I finished with last year, even though I have been playing with them for a number of months now!

Am going to be testing the new RBZ fairway wood very soon, but not sure if that will make the bag or not!

I'm the same Tim, my club runs a crackin winter league every year, so the only pause in the last couple of years is the snow breaks.

What other fairway woods are you testing Matthew?  I'm still one the Callaway Steelhead III - bought them 8 years ago when they came out. Not sure they need changing though

I have to say that my new Titleist mb irons look like making their way out of my bag rather than the otherway around !

VERY TOUGH SO FAR !!

Tim,

Forged clubs certainly let you know when you've hit a bad shot!

Dave - I'm going to test the new Taylormade RBZ 3 wood....to see if all the hype is correct.  I currently have the R11 3-wood, and it serves me well, but I am intrigued as to these claims about more distance.  As soon as my pro shop gets them in, I am taking the demo out to see whats what!

I'm considering a Ping K15 3 wood, I like the way it sits low, just need time to have a swing with one

Got my new Nike Tour Carry Bag off Santa, which I'm using now. Got some new Mizuno Stability shoes which I'm gonna keep until the TGA season kicks off at Matfen Hall in March, as they're still shiney and white winkhttp://www.golfshake.com/scripts/ckeditor362/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.gif" title="wink" width="20" />.

It's my birthday next month and I'm thinking of changing my hybrid, maybe get a baffler rail.

Picked up my new Titleist 910d2 driver last night. (1st time I've paid top dollar for a club)

Itching to get out there and try it on the course & typically it's freezing with the possibility of snow over the weekend!

Seemed to perform well on the range earlier though.
