3 / 5 woods
In my bag i have my irons a 21 rescue club and my driver. dont take my 3 or 5 woods as there what i got to start with and are slazenger.
Would it be worth me getting a 3 or 5 wood, to use from the tee at times?
Would it be worth getting a r7 draw one, as if i do mis
s hit they go right.
TIA

Matt I carry a 3 wood with my driver for holes that require a tight drive or for when you just dont need to risk the driver, i.e par 5's that you just carnt reach in 2 or shorter par 4's when you dont really gain anything by hitting driver apart from more risk.
As for the draw type I'm not convinced that these clubs are miracle workers as I own the r7 driver. Had mine set to draw but it still relies on a sound grip and technique and boy when it hooks it hooks.
Hope this helps

As well as my driver I have a 3 and 5 wood. I wanted a 7 but couldn't get the one I wanted, so plumped for a hybrid/rescue job. Use them all off the tee, fairway and light rough (not the driver, obviously) and prefer them to long irons.
As usual horses for courses...

My bag has the Benross V3 7 wood which is top notch at a good price.
Just picked up a John Letters Trilogy 5 wood from AGD for £25. This is the baba I will use off the tee as an alternative to the driver.
