The golf handicap on Golfshake is widely accepted and recognised around the world as proof of your playing ability for general golf/social play.

I guess in reality it doesn't really matter what your handicap is to take part in Q school assuming you get invited because everyone just plays off scractch similar to the Pro tours and the handicaps are irrelevant.  Tiger Woods with his +8 or whatever doesn't give shots back to another Pro who may only be +3

Anyone know if there is a ruling that you have to be attached to a golf club to take part in Professional tour events ?

Darren,

To enter Tour School you need one of two things. One is a current 'Official Hcp' (Scratch or better)and the other is to be a member of a Professional Golfers Body (PGA or USPGA etc). Plus the £1350 entry fee of course.
