Donald Trump's New Course

Posted by: user356537 | Tue 13th Dec 2011 07:44 | Last Reply

I know it has been very controversial but how good does this course look?

The only problem, no doubt it will be well beyond the reach of mere mortals like me!  Still, at least I can dream.

Richard

The ideal tour players course, but not for the normal player as I can see six hour rounds due to the close proximity of the very severe rough. Pretty but unplayable in my opinion.

Well, I don't know for sure but I believe the photos are genuine as they are taken by leading golf course photographer Brian Morgan.  Also, course opens to the public on 15 July 2012 and online tee reservations are being taken. At £200 per round at the weekend it's not as bad as I feared.

I think Trump is hoping to stage a European event there & eventually the Ryder Cup.

Looking at the photo's on the Trump website there are a number that show the construction of the holes and have diggers etc on them. It gives something to scale the holes against, and they don't look quite so intimidating. Also, the fees Monday to Friday are £150, which when measured against the cost of many high end courses is actually quite reasonable.

I like links golf and wouldn't mind giving it a bash.
