Liam, I don't know if this is something you do already but keeping a track of your stats for each round will highlight the strengths and weaknesses in your game enabling you to concentrate your efforts on the areas that will help you reduce your scores the most.
In my experience, it is often the short game that will bring the greatest rewards.

Forget how far you hit the ball, concentrate on the directon. Even on a par 4, if you take 3 to get on the green, you've still got 2 putts for a par, taking your handicap into account. Also, particularly at this time of year, concentrate on striking the ball well and don't worry about the scores, they'll look after themselves. As Richard (and plenty of others have said) a decent short game will reduce your overall scores much quicker than belting it miles. Concentrate on the chipping and putting side of things rather than hitting loads of balls at the range..

Liam, Play within yourself. Dont try things that usually dont come off. If you can use your putter from off the green then use it rather than a tricky wedge. Cosy the ball to the hole on long putts and take a two putt, rather than racing it past trying for a one putt. Aim to the safe side of fairways rather than the middle if there is danger on one side. Dont always aim for the flag, it may be right on the edge of the green and if youre a bit wayward youll miss the green.
Just a few tips, hope they help.

As others have said concentrate on the parts of your game that arent that strong and be conservative on the course. For me i was struggling with my putting, bunker shots and wedges from inside 100 yards and i just went out on the 9 hole when it was quiet and practised. Recently my scores have gone down by around 5-10 shots. Hope this helps and just remember it wont happen over night.

Hit fairways. Take on the safe part of the green and reduce the number of putts. Sounds easy
