Anyone played there?  Is it a links?  Thinking about playing there in January with a few mates, trying to organise a wee day trip.  Cheers ofr any comments.

Not played Berwick Stephen, but if you're in the area Bamburgh is a links course well worth playing. It's a monster when the wind is blowing (which it always is - just depends how hard).

Gullane is the place to play.

Stephen,

Berwick upon Tweed GC or Goswick as it is known locally is a good track and well worth a visit. Also, just up the road is a fun course to play, Magdalene Fields. Also if you stay at Haggerston Castle, they have their own course too.

A good area for a Golf break.

If you go the extra 30 miles to North Berwick there are some great links courses there. I was lucky enough to spend a week based in North Berwick which has two great courses. We played  Gullane and Muirfield (letter needed in advance from your club sec for Muirfield) and if you're feeling a bit cocky about your golf this'll bring you right down to earth. Other good courses there,  Dunbar and  Monkton Hall (more of a parkland but gives you a break from Links).

There seems to be golf courses around every corner up there where you can turn up and play. Have a good break..

Went on a society tour to Berwick in September, played Hirschel, Goswick (Berwick) and Eyemouth. 3 different types of courses Hirschel woodland, Goswick classic links and Eyemouth a bit of a mix. Goswick the most challenging and Eyemouth the most disappointing - apart from the hole over the inlet.
