Putter care
I've got myself fitted for a putter and recently bought myself a lovely Byron Morgan - a well fitted putter has made a big difference to my putt average and I'm using the winter to hone this part of my game
.....anyway......with the wetter weather upon us I'm having to keep oiling the head with baby oil to keep the rust away ( as it is carbon steel) - what do any of you chaps use? I'm trying to find out if there are any products that may last longer than two rounds between applications
cheers
Lewis

Apart from replacing the grip, it's now on its third grip, I get the loft checked occasionally and that's it.

No real breakthrough though in my opinion, Ping made all the original styles which have since been copied using different materials.
It is not the stick but the man using it.

Very nice Lewis ,i have the 006 model it's not my gamer (but has been) ,but one of my collection.Byron turns out quality putters and the price for custom made to your spec is excellent. Even with the £62 sting in the tail, enjoy mate http://www.golfshake.com/scripts/ckeditor362/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.gif" title="yes" width="20" /> as for the oil I always gave mine a blast with wd40 after playing .Haven't seen a M65 for a while and you've joined quite an exclusive BM club here in the UK.

Happy birthday, Lewis, and I hope the putter does it for you.

I've had my putter 8 years now and had it rergipped 3 times and had it shortened to from 34" to 31" earlier in the year.
Puzzles me when people buy brand spanking new putters every couple of years thinking it'll improve their game....

Agreed Dave, once you've found the right one stick with it.
