Bay Hill, Whats your opinion?

Posted by: user63422 | Sun 29th Jul 2007 21:32 | Last Reply

Im a very eager golf player, Been playing now for over a year and consider myself quite good, I just forked out some money on my own set, Im not 100% on golfing equiptment and not totally sure if my choice was good so thats why i would like to ask this community, The set i purchased was cut from £399 to $120, This seemed a good deal so i got it... Here is the link to the set i purchased

I would appreciate some reviews on this set since i would like to know if ill be playing with crap or decent gear. That way i cant complain about sucky irons if i make a flop on the course

Hi Matt, did you not try them out first? or get custom fitted?

Custom fitting is usually free when you buy a set of irons,or it was for mine,we are all different sizes so clubs have to be made to fit,not us to fit to them, either way i think you have to try them out before buying, its a lot of money for clubs that probably won't be right for you.

Matt

I don't know what standard your golf is, but assuming you are a 28 handicap, then these seem a very reasonable choice. Oversized, peripherally weighted steel shaft irons with graphite shafted hybrid, wood and driver seem like a reasonable, lost cost choice. Custom fit may help if you a long way from the standard height of 5' 10" which is the assumption of current standard clubs.

cheers, JD
